INTRODUCING MATT, FOUNDER OF RESTART TUITION
Hello, I’m Matt, the founder of Restart Tuition. I strongly believe in the transformative power of a quality education for everyone.
My journey in education began in 2012 as a learning support practitioner. By 2015, I had become a qualified teacher specialising in various Maths programs such as GCSE, Functional Skills, Common Entrance, and iGCSE Maths. Progressing to middle management as Head of English and Maths at my local college, I focused on helping learners achieve their GCSE English and Maths goals. In July 2023, I transitioned from classroom teaching to focus exclusively on my tutoring business.
Since 2015, I’ve been tutoring privately as “Matt the Maths Tutor,” primarily assisting secondary school students in excelling in their GCSE exams and preparing for future academic endeavours. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, I observed a growing gap in students’ confidence and a need for alternative educational experiences outside the mainstream. Recognising the value of small-group tuition to nurture confidence and provide effective support, I set out to restart students’ educational journeys.
I firmly believe that too many young people do not achieve essential qualifications, which hinders their progression to the next stage.
This conviction is what prompted me to start Restart Tuition, where our mission is to offer exceptional tutoring options with qualified teachers, supporting families in guiding a students educational journey. Our goal is to instil confidence in students and restart their educational paths. I am proud to support families both locally and online in their educational endeavours through Restart Tuition.
